A Local’s Tip: The Best Ride in Cancun


Many tourists stay only at their resort, but they miss the real beauty of the Hotel Zone. My favorite thing to do is hop on a scooter just before sunset. I ride down Kukulcan Boulevard with the Nichupté Lagoon on one side and the Caribbean Sea on the other.

I recommend riding to Playa Delfines (the famous lookout) for a photo, then cruising north to Plaza La Isla for dinner. Parking a car at La Isla is difficult and expensive, but with a scooter, you park right at the entrance for free. The wind in your face and the freedom to stop anywhere - that is the real Cancun vacation vibe.
